Magic Over Murray is a free hot air balloon festival produced by the Murray Area Chamber Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in Murray, Utah. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep our data practices simple because this is a marketing website for a community event, not an online store or account-based service.

Information We Collect

We collect the information you choose to give us through the active Volunteer signup, Vendor Market application, and tethered-ride waiver forms and through direct communications with the Chamber Foundation. Food truck applications are closed and are not collected through this website. We do not require you to create an account. Payment details entered during a tethered-ride purchase are handled by Zeffy, not by this website or the Chamber Foundation.

  • Volunteer signups. When you sign up to volunteer, we collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, and any details you provide about your availability or interests.
  • Vendor Market applications. When you apply for the Vendor Market, we collect your contact and business information, website or social-media link, description of your products or services, prior-festival participation, business-license and liability-insurance responses, and any product or booth file you choose to upload.
  • Tethered-ride waivers. When you complete a rider waiver, we collect the selected ride day, purchaser or rider contact information, participant names and ages or dates of birth, emergency-contact information, guardian information where applicable, agreement responses, and an electronic signature. A parent or guardian may provide information for minor riders covered by the waiver.
  • Messages you send us. If you contact us by email or phone, we receive whatever information you include in your message.
  • Basic website data. Like most hosted websites, our hosting provider may process technical information associated with a visit, such as your IP address, browser or device information, and request details.

The Volunteer signup, Vendor Market application, and tethered-ride waiver forms are embedded from GoHighLevel/LeadConnector. When you submit a form, the information is sent to that service and made available to the Chamber Foundation so our team can review your submission, coordinate participation, and match a completed waiver to a tethered-ride order.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Review and process volunteer signups;
  • Review and process Vendor Market applications;
  • Document tethered-ride consent and match completed waivers to ticket orders;
  • Contact you about your submission, your participation, and event logistics;
  • Answer questions you send us; and
  • Operate, plan, and improve the festival.

We do not use your information for unrelated marketing, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.

Third-Party Services

We rely on a small number of outside services to run this website and the event:

  • Forms, waivers, and contact management (GoHighLevel/LeadConnector). The Volunteer signup, Vendor Market application, and tethered-ride waiver forms are provided by GoHighLevel/LeadConnector. Information submitted through the embedded forms is processed on that platform and made available to the Chamber Foundation for review, coordination, recordkeeping, and follow-up.
  • Tethered-ride ticketing and payments (Zeffy). The tethered-ride checkout is embedded from Zeffy. Ticket selections, purchaser information, and payment details are entered into and processed by Zeffy under its own privacy practices. This website does not receive or store your full payment-card details.
  • Website hosting (Vercel). This website is hosted by Vercel. Vercel may process basic technical information needed to deliver and protect the website.
  • Sponsor payments (FastPayDirect). If you make a sponsorship payment, our website links you out to FastPayDirect, a third-party payment processor. Your payment is entered and handled on FastPayDirect's own platform, and their privacy practices apply to that transaction. No card or bank details are entered on or stored by this website.
  • Google Fonts. Our pages load fonts hosted by Google Fonts so the site displays consistently. This may involve your browser contacting Google's servers to retrieve those fonts.
  • Website analytics. We may add basic, aggregate web analytics in the future to understand how visitors use the site. If we do, it would be used to measure general traffic and page popularity, not to identify you personally.

Cookies and Analytics

This website does not require cookies to function. If we add web analytics in the future, that tool may set cookies or use similar technologies to count visits and understand general usage patterns. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings. Because we currently do not run our own advertising, we do not use tracking for targeted ads.

No Sale of Your Data

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share information only with the service providers described above, and only as needed to operate the website and the event.

Data Retention

Volunteer signup, Vendor Market application, and tethered-ride waiver information may be maintained in GoHighLevel/LeadConnector and in the Chamber Foundation's records for coordination, application review, event planning, waiver administration, follow-up, and ordinary recordkeeping. Children's Privacy

Magic Over Murray is a family-friendly event. The Volunteer signup form is intended for adults. A tethered-ride waiver may collect a minor rider's name and age or date of birth only when provided by a parent or legal guardian signing on the minor's behalf. Children should not submit forms directly. If you believe a child submitted information without appropriate adult involvement, please contact us.

Your Choices and Rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you have submitted, subject to any legal recordkeeping requirements that apply to signed waivers or transactions. To make a request, email us at committee@magicovermurray.com and we will do our best to respond promptly. You may also choose not to submit a form, though we may then be unable to process a volunteer signup, Vendor Market application, or tethered-ride waiver.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
